Eid-Maulud: Agboola Ajayi Greets Muslims, Wants More Prayer For State

The Peoples Democratic Party’s candidate in the scheduled gubernatorial election in Ondo state, H E, Agboola Ajayi, has congratulated Muslims as they celebrate this year’s Eid-el-Maulud, which marks the birth of Prophet Muhammad, ( S.A.W )

The former deputy governor, praised Muslims in the state, for maintaining the peace and their unwavering display of love, despite the hardship they are going through.

In the congratulatory message issued and signed by Sam Ogunmusi , (Director New Media ) in Akure, the Ondo State capital on Monday, Ajayi implored the Muslim faithfuls  to increase their prayers for the state in particular, especially as the harsh economic weather has made many to become vulnerable to doing unhealthy things to survive.

He said: “I rejoice with Muslim brothers and sisters on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Maulud. As we celebrate the birth of Prophet Muhammed ( S.A.W) today, I implore you  to intensify on yours prayers, so that the reoccurring bad occurrences in our society may abate.

” More than ever before, people  have become more daring in wreaking havoc on the society, while  leaders and government have become highly insensitive to the yearnings of the followers and citizens”

” The rate of insecurity has become very alarming and the heart of people are becoming more hardened to the extent that, many no longer behave like they have conscience” Agboola Ajayi said .

” We need people of good conscience as leaders and followers to make our state conducive for all to live in. This is a possibility with more of your prayers, especially, as we approach another opportunity to elect a new goverment”

Ajayi also used the opportunity  of the celebration, to reassure  the  people of Ondo State of his  resolve to “do everything possible,  as Governor, to give good  governance and deliver dividends of democracy to the people   and to also ensure people-oriented programmes are delivered in line with our campaign promises” he emphasised .
