Our attention has been drawn to the face-saving response of Femi Omilani, the impeached Chairman of FIBAN, Ogun State chapter who also holds an unprecedented record as the ONLY elected Chairman to be disgraced out of office.
Femi, a “nobody” in the broadcast industry until critical stakeholders, many of who are full of regrets now, provided him the opportunity, against all odds, to serve as the Chairman of our great association, is undoubtedly a very good example of the Youth who should NEVER be trusted with power.
Omilani does not deserve any response from us because he is an ingrate who misused the opportunity he got on a platter of gold. We are glad that his well orchestrated plan to destroy the association that brought him into lime light failed, woefully.
At the risk of misleading members of the public with his fabricated and not-well-thought response, wherein he claimed to have left the association since June 12, he should tell us how he left. If he resigned, who did he address his resignation letter to and who received it? As the Chairman, who did he handover to and where? What is he still doing on the platform of FIBAN even as at today?
As a member of his executive until I resigned to contest for national office, I advised him severally on many irrational and unconstitutional decisions but the uncultured young man was arrogantly consumed by some imaginary powers which made him appear unto himself as larger than life, forgetting that it’s for a reason that cleaner (eraser) was produced along with pencil.
As much as we will refrain from joining issues with him because we understand that he is traumatized at the moment especially as he is confronted with realities of his misdeeds, I wish to remind Femi that decisions in the association are based on simple majority. While we have the record of the attendees, it’s foolhardy for him to contest the number of members present at the congress; another display of his childishness and immaturity. The important thing is that he has been IMPEACHED.
I will like to put it on record that the association has valid and verifiable evidences to support all the allegations levelled against him. So the embattled former Chairman should save himself of those concocted lies because the contradictions are too obvious for every discerning mind to spot. Instead, he should prepare for the criminal charges that awaits him, especially over the misappropriation of the association’s resources. It is sacrosanct that we shall file charges against him as he must face the full wrath of the law.
