In a timely move to arrest a potential breakdown of law and other in Ekiti State, Agboola Sunday, Commandant of Ekiti State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence corps (NSCDC)’s removal has been ordered by the Commandant General, Dr Ahmed Audi.
This is sequel to ThePageNews Online exclusive story on the excesses of the state Commandant which led to youths in the state threatening a mass protest.
Reacting swiftly to the news, Audi ordered the removal of Agboola after preliminary investigation over allegation of unprofessionalism and reckless lifestyle , unbecoming of a civil servant.
CG Audi, reputed to be s super Corp with has zero tolerance for corruption and illegality among his men and officers, removed Agboola to serve as deterrent for all other officers in his service.
Barely two hours, after his removal, his official vehicle was also withdrawn from him while a disciplinary action was set up against him and his dis-banded SWAT Team in Abuja, National Headquarters., and the CG intelligent team who anchored investigation levelled against him acted professionally, even as many hidden things were said have been unravelled by the panel.
Informed sources within the Ekiti State Command have mentioned however, that the reformation excercise embarked upon in the Command will be incomplete,if one Arogundade Toyin, the Armed Squad Unit Commander is still allowed to continue to operate unhindered .
A source volunteered that, . Arogundade has praticay become an institution in the unit as he is allegedly living large, with a believe that, no one could remove him as he claimed to have both the CG’s CSO and Appolo in his palm.
The Page reliably gathered that, Arogundade had before now played into the hands of a popular Ekiti Monarch ( name witheld) who in turn, reported him to CG Audi.
Meanwhile , residents have hailed the choice Shosina Seun, as the new state Commandant.
Upon his assumption of duty in the state,Seun was said to spent his personal money to lighten the command headquarter and also erect a borehole, to solve the perennial water problem confronting the command since it’s inception of the new command Headquarters.
