Ondo State UK Residents Commend Agboola Ajayi  For His Preparedness To Govern

Ahead of the scheduled gubernatorial election in the state, the United Kingdom  wing of Ondo state indigenes in the diaspora, has acknowledged the readiness of the Peoples Democratic Party’s candidate, H E, Agboola Ajayi, to reposition the state via his “Transforming Anew agenda.

The UK based Ondo Indigenes, made the remark on Friday night, after  the PDP candidate, reeled out details of his program , code named Transforming a new … The future we deserve at a Zoom meeting with the UK sojourner moderated by  Gbenga Akinmoyo.

Ajayi who is currently in the United Kingdom on a campaign visit,
announced  details of his  seven point agenda, as contained in the blue print that will guide his administration of the now ailing  state.

Contents of the agenda include, robust and highly responsive security measures, effective and efficient health system, affordable and quality education system, improved and aggressive  agricultural development  that would make farming attractive.

Others are rapid economic development in terms of commerce and investment in creating and sustaining Industry in critical areas of the state mineral advantages,  Sports and  youth  development with the completion of the abandoned Stadium project in Akure as a priority and  massive infrastructural development.  Massive road and rail construction around the state, most especially opening up the rural areas and the critical areas of the state’s economy .

“The development of our riverine areas to unlock our hidden economic potential would  be given utmost priority” the gubernatorial hopeful assured.

Commending the candidate for what they described as a “detailed analysis of your proffered  solution to the state’s lingering problems” the participants  also praised the former deputy governor for his  “vision and commitment to see that Ondo State becomes a highly industrialized state that can compete and overtake Lagos and Rivers State in terms of blue economy “

In particular, a participant, Prof Gold Emmanuel, Senior Special Assistant to former Vice President , Atiku Abubakar, said she is really pleased with what the PDP candidate is bringing to the table, insisting  however, that he should ensure that issue of nepotism should be done away with when he start running his government .

Emmanuel,who is a University  Don in the United Kingdom at the moment  admonished further , that the candidate should also look towards having solar powered industrial development in the state as she opined, that this  will go a long way to make the industries he intend to create more effective .

Another participant, Awoyo Damilola Desmond,  advised  the PDP  candidate to ensure the media project him the more and the lofty ideas he has for the state development, even as he registered his happiness  with what  he said the PDP candidate is bringing to the table and promised to his readiness ” to support him all the way”

Mrs Omolola Williams who joined the meeting from her based in the United States, said she is ready to join hands with the PDP Candidate in making sure that party gets to Alagbaka by next year “because of the life changing programmes the PDP Gubernatorial Candidate is bringing to Ondo State”

Over 50 Ondo State indigenes in the United Kingdom joined the zoom meeting.

A town Hall meeting for physical contact  has been scheduled for  London on Sunday .
