The Argentine national anthem was booed ahead of their Paris Olympics men’s football opener amid the racism storm surrounding Enzo Fernandez.
Argentina kicked off their journey in the 2024 Paris Olympics men’s football on Wednesday as they faced Morocco in the opener in Saint-Etienne.
As the Argentina stars stood arm in arm for the national anthem ahead of kick-off they were subjected to jeers and boos from the crowd after Enzo Fernandez filmed himself and his team-mates singing an anti-French racist chant following the senior squad’s Copa America triumph.
