Former Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Hon Agboola Ajayi in Abuja, on Tuesday, implored delegates to the coming primary election of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), to be intentional and conscious of voting someone who, without a doubt, can attract the general votes that’s will secure the governorship mandate for the party.
Ajayi, a PDP aspirant mentioned this after picking his nomination and interest forms to contest in the primary election which will determine the party’s candidate for the scheduled November gubernatorial election.
He reiterated his commitment to the party even, as he emphasized his ability to bring good life to the people of Ondo State if obliged the mandate to administer the affairs of the state.
Ajayi implored all delegates to the coming primary election of the party to be intentional and conscious of voting someone who is capable of attracting the citizen’s votes to secure the mandate to rule for the party.
He also admonished the delegates “not to look beyond me, since ” I represents every quality you may require in a sellable gubernatorial candidate of a robust, selfless and people oriented party like ours”
Recall that at a meeting of PDP aspirants from Ondo South with Ondo South Senatorial district leaders and stakeholders, held at the weekend in Okitipupa, Ajayi had maintained that he stands a better chance to win the election for the party.
He hinged the belief on his experience and detailed knowledge of the electioneering process, having been through it at various stages.
At the meeting, he made the case
for his qualification, declaring that his unmatched experience is a plus for the party.
” I was a former Supervisor, Council Chairman, Member House of Reps and deputy governor.
” I have become familiar with the terrain and with a deep knowledge of the system. The relationship I have been able to build in the state and beyond it, with people and divers interests of electoral influence overtime, will no doubt come to play at a time like this” he said at the Okitipupa convergence.
