Post Graduate Students of Music , University of Lagos, on Thursday were received in audience at the corporate head office of the Evergreen Music Company, Yaba, Lagos by the GM, Bimbo Esho.
The students were on fieldwork research on music history and documentation.
They were Led by Professor John Olugbenga Ajewole Head of Music Department University of Lagos.
According to Esho, thier “discussion was centered on musical documentation, archiving/cataloguing , patenting musical works, musical evolution ,artiste of precolonial era, ways to safeguard indigenous music for the next generation among other issues”
Speaking further on the visit, Esho said “our platform will continue to stand in as a first point of call for anything indigenous music by both the academic environment and sectors that are equally engaged in the development of indigenous music in Africa”.
