Hon. (Arc.) Setonji Koshoedo, the National Deputy Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party debunked rumours doing the rounds that he has dumped the Peoples Democratic Party for the APC.

According to him, the unfounded rumour must undoubtedly be  the figment of the minds of some mischievous and ill-intentioned traducers  to smear his image.

In a statement today, Hon. Koshoedo  wondered  who could be that threatened by his growth in politics to go to that length to stain his long term record of loyalty, steadfastness personal integrity and pedigree in the party.

Noting that politics without probity is empty, he said it is not only immoral for him to leave the party that has not only contributed immensely to his political career but also unreasonable to think of leaving the party that has also  added so much value to his profile and the lives of many other politicians to join another party.

Averring that those  defecting from the Peoples Democratic Party can only be those in politics for selfish reasons, Hon. Kosh as he is fondly reffered to, said his politics has never been for personal aggrandisement, and haven reached the topmost level of leadership of the party, there is no reason for him to leave the party for a party with no sincere intention of being in power which has just manipulated the populace to retain power.

Rather than quitting, he said he is currently in very far reaching consultations and meetings across the state with members of PDP on steps towards rebuilding and repositioning the Party for a successful bounce back in future elections.

While assuring his colleagues in the Party, friends and well wishers that  the trust and confidence they have reposed in him will not be betrayed  for a mess of porridge, he urged  members of the Peoples Democratic Party home and abroad to discountenance the unfounded rumour and be rest assured that the process of recovering the Party that has commenced will soon reach them.
