The Executive Committee and entire members of the South-West Legislative Aides Forum, National Assembly Chapter congratulate the President-Elect Federal Republic of Nigeria Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The aides under aegis of the South’west Legislative Aides’ Forum also extended same to the newly elected members and returning lawmakers to the 10th Assembly and pledged its continuous supports to them and the entire Legislative Arm for the advancement of democracy in Nigeria.
Chairman of the Forum Mr Abiodun Apantaku in a press release issued in Abuja equally described the outcome of the Presidential and National Assembly Elections as heart warming to the forum.
The group comprising of servicing legislative aides from all the six states of the South-West geo-political zone further noted, “we are happy with the outcome of the general elections because the President -Elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu is a tested nationalist and pan africanist.
“We believe that his emergence at this critical period of our country is the best thing to happen to Nigeria because he has the experience, exposure, international contacts and capacity to pull the country out of the present economic and security challenges.
“The precarious state of the nation’s economy coupled with heightened insecurity as well as separatist agitations at the moment required a true nationalist like Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to suprintend and reposition the country for quick recovery” . The body further emphasized calling for supports from all over Nigeria to help in the rebuilding process.
It however appealed to the National Assembly members-elect to be guided by nationalistic spirit and eschew partisan and tribal sentiments as soon as they convene so that the healing of the country could be expedited.
