New Sabada King, Oludare Olateju a.k.a. Ludare has concluded plans on a 3 -in-1 event he promises will remain on the lips of many for a long time.

Ludare is the son of late Juju music icon, Emperor Wale Olateju. Oludare has ensured however, that his father’s  Sabada brand of Juju music has taken the millienum dimension and continue to grow.

To further strengthen the legacy, Ludare is raising the bar with the celebration of his 50th birthday, launching of a new building with an inbuilt 16 Octave recording studio named after his father: Emperor Wale Olateju House and the launch of his 2-in-1 latest CD tagged Joyful Noise.

The event is due for Hortico Gardens,Ipaja, Lagos on the 29th of April.

Before dabbling into music, Ludare started and built  a career in Marketing Comnuincations. He worked with medium and high profile Marketing Comnuincations/ Advertising agencies including  LTC/JWT before joining Guinness Nig Plc in 2002 as a mid career level manager and later joined Consolidated Breweries plc and worked as Senior Brand Manager on the “33” Export lager Bottle change project, while moving after then,  to Nigerian Breweries Plc,a subsidiary of Heineken where he worked as Senior Trade Marketing  Manager – Strategic Programs till recently when he opted for an early retirement to  according to him,”give more time to my juju music venture  and build on the family successes and tradition  of juju Sabada”

The Masters Degree holder told ThePage News that he showed interest in music from an early age but his father did not encourage that in any way.

“He discouraged me from learning to play the guitar from age nine. Some of his band guys who were always around the house were trying to teach me but he said i should face my studies and he wanted me to be a Doctor or an Agricultirst. Overall, i learnt early in life that there is no one straight jacket definition of sucess. It is about playing to your strenght” adding that indivuduals should strive to identify what they are comfortable  with then give it attention to blossom.

Not minding the discouragement from his father to play music at his early stage, Ludare said his father  made such a huge impression on him growing up.

“So regardless of what i was able to achieve with my career, i felt incomplete and  i thought i have something  to add in terms of knowledge  to the thriving juju music genre.

” I have also listened to KSA from my mother’s belly. Hence, i cant really say what it is but i think me performing juju music is about following my passion and also keeping the family name” he said as he prepares for his April 29 event.
