Julius Oredola Araba* started in the 1940s as a sideman of many groups of the time, including that of *Willy Isola Payne*, which he joined in 1952.
The group performed at the Mainland Cage playing mainly calypso, just in front of the Western Hotel and engaged in rivalry play of other groups,including the *late Legendary Adeolu Akinsanya and his Western Toppers Band.*
Julius Araba thereafter embarked on a personal career and formed his band called *The Blue Rhythm with Fatai Rolling Dollar and Seni Tejuoho AKA Teje Baby playing mainly the traditional Yoruba Agidigbo.*
The group is revolutionizing the music scene with its style between highlife, calypso, juju and palm wine music, unlike other juju musicians, Julius Araba does not sing the praises of personalities.
The Blue Rhythm would later become the Afro Skiffle Group further Africanizing its repertoire.Julius Araba performed in concerts until the end of his life, in the 1970s accompanied by his group, the Afro Skiffle Group and sometimes he performs as a duet with his wife on vocals and Sèkèrè.
