Versatile singer, Tito Da.fire, has just joined the league of Nigerian music heads who were distinguished by the American Recording Academy, organisers of the Grammy awards, as the latest inductees into its voting academy.
The Grammys voting academy is a culturally diverse group of select music connoisseurs, and inductees approved by a college of jurors. The Abibeji crooner reveals that this induction helps reflect his unflinching “passion for and knowledge of music.”
Tito broke out into the mainstream industry as a member of the popular duo Gent2Men, who went viral for their hit, Majekaja. His debut solo album Graduation Day, which featured MI Abaga and Harrysong lifted his prominence as one of the most vibrant voices in his generation. Other Nigerians who were inducted into the voting academy this year include Rapper and Big Brother Naija winner Laycon, and Music Executive Bizzle Osikoya.
