Yemi Shodimu Named  2024 Agroween Festival’s Anchor Person.

Popular On Air Personality, actor  and entertainer of note, Yemi Shodimu has been announced as the anchor person, of the 2024 edition of  the annual Agroween Festival, a two day Agriculture programm, due to begin on the 27th of this month,  November.

The announcement came via a statement issued by the event’s convener, Mrs Abimbola Aghaowa,  on Friday.

Tagged Agroween ’24, the program is The food, Agriculture and Innovation festival, powered by the Intergenerational  Rescue foundation, a United States Of America based Non Governmental Organization,  with the sole objective of making available sufficient food supply for the people,through the promotion of farming among the youth especially. 

Mrs Tinubu is billed to be awarded with a Special  Agro Recognition Award( ARA), for her promotion of Agriculture and initiative towards  food sufficiency at the event which will hold  in collaboration with the Yaba Collect of Technology , with the school’s Rector Dr Ibraheem Adedotun as Co-host.

With the theme: Unlocking Agricultural Potential For Economic Growth, the event which will hold at the Yaba Tech premises, will be Chaired by a Former Commissioner  in Lagos  and Chairperson LASACO Assurance  PLC, Mrs Teju Phillips. 

The event  will see  Dr Rosulu Ahmed Olamiji, the Dean, School of Agricultural Studies, Yaba College Of Technology as guest speaker, alongside Professor FD Ugese of Joseph Tarka University, Markurdi.

Speaking on his involvement with the event, Shodimu said his decision to support the program is in line with his belief that Agriculture should be promoted to ensure food sufficiency adding that, every effort to achieving this aim should not be spared.

He thus applauded the efforts of Agroween to make  Agriculture inviting to the youths, because in his words “youths are the now and the future”.
