It was jubilation galore on Wednesday, in Agege, Lagos, Nigeria, following the kick off of a free feeding program, at the instance of Sycamore  Helping  Hands,a private organisation founded by wife of  Funky Juju creator, Dele Taiwo,Mosunmade Taiwo, with the Juju star as the Chairman and UK based Elder Adebayo Adebisi as Director.

The indefinite  free feeding project, which held at the premises of the  Cherubim  and Seraphim church, Oke Iyanu Parish, Dopemu Road, Agege, owned by Dele Taiwo’ father, will hold every Wednesday.

Jubilant beneficiaries  who thronged the Dopemu Road Church premises, were all prayers, for the organisers they described as God sent.

A beneficiary, Saheed Ajibade, while thanking  the organisers of the program said,  it’s a life saving project that will restore the health of many in the area.

” Many of us wake up in the morning with no hope of what to eat. Sometimes we are lucky and at other times we sleep on empty bellies and as a result, many have developed all kind of ailments.

” With this  program, at least, we are sure of eating on Wednesdays. But we will be happy if the organisers can make it at least twice in a week. The.country is so hard now and many are finding it difficult to feed, thats why we are not taking this provision for granted” Ajibade said.

Speaking on the project, Dele Taiwo said the situation of things in the country , made the program a necessity.

” We all know what is going on in the country now. Many are no longer able to feed and the rate of suicide is increasing as a result.

” So, we at Sycamore Helping Hands just felt, if we can feed some people with the little we have, it will go a long way. That’s why we are doing this and we hope  to enlarge the project as God gives us the strength”

The Juju crooner maintained also, that the project is basically for the less privilege.

“The motive behind the  feeding project is to feed  the less privilege every blessed Wednesday under the umbrella of my dad’s church C & S, Oke Iyanu Parish. 3,Kadiri Street, Off Dopemu Rd, Agege”

Also speaking on the project, Mrs Taiwo said: based on the current situation in  the country, we realised that  majority are hungry, and we believe if food can be taken out of our people’s poverty, the rest will be easy to handle.

Mrs Taiwo, explained that,  what they have been able to do, enjoy the support of family and friends, concluding  that “with more support and grace of God, the program  will be enlarged to accommodate more beneficiaries
