Businessman and show business promoter Alhaji Saheed Ishola Aregbesola is set to mount the exalted seat of Osolo of Isolo Kingdom in Lagos State.
This followed his selection by the Alabe branch of Alagbeji Royal family, endorsement of Isolo King makers and Oshodi Isolo Local Government.
The king makers had in a letter to the family through the family head Alhaji Taoreed Faronbi called for the selection of a Candidate to fill the vacant stool of Osolo Isolo.
In return, the Alabe branch which is the only branch of Alagbeji Royal family that has not produced the Osolo met and unanimously endorsed Aregbesola
This decision was communicated to the king makers and the Local Government, both of which ratified the selection, even as the name of Aregbesola is set to be communicated to the state government for ratification.
Said Faronbi “as the Olori Ebi of Alagbeji Royal family, and having been informed officially, I wrote to inform the Alabe family whose turn it is to present a candidate to do so within the time assigned through my lawyer, as per the attached letter dated July 27, 2024.
“Coming from the background, the Alabe family met on this urgent matter and reached a unanimous decision to present Saheed Ishola Aregbesola as the candidate for the vacant stool of Isolo Kingdom “
He therefore called on Governor Babjide Sanwoolu, the Deputy Governor Kadir Obafemi Hamzat and the commissioner for local government and chieftaincy affairs to disregard the antics of some impostors laying claim to the Osolo stool
According to him, as the head of Alagbeji Royal family, the next in line to produce the next Osolo of Isolo, I wish to affirm that the only candidate recognised and formally presented for the vacant stool by the family is Saheed Ishola Aregbesola.
