Operatives of the Ogun State Police Command have arrested a notorious cultist, Adekunle Adebajo, popularly known as “Kunle Poly,” in connection with the alleged murder of a member of a rival cult group in Ijebu Ode.
It was gathered that rival cults clashed, resulting in the death of the victim, known as ‘Mosquito,’ who was reportedly shot, macheted, and had his left hand severed and taken away by his killers.
Meanwhile, Kunle Poly, suspected to be one of Mosquito’s killers, was arrested on August 12 at 12:03 a.m. in his hideout at Isiwo, Ijebu.
Kunle Poly admitted to being a member of the Eiye confraternity.
During a search of his residence, the police recovered a Beretta pistol with six live rounds of ammunition, two UTC axes, and charms.
Report quoted the spokesperson for the command, SP Omolola Odutola, as confirming if the suspect is the well-known Kunle Poly of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), she responded, “I don’t know who the original Kunle Poly is.
“The one we arrested is Adekunle Adebajo.”
