In a statement released over the weekend by the Akinrunyiwa of Owu Kingdom, Chief Aderinokun said though Ladi Adebutu lost out at the court, he is the true hero of the 2023 gubernatorial elections.

In his words ” I joined the good people of Ogun State to celebrate the true hero of the 2023 gubernatorial elections, Hon. (Dr.) Oladipupo Adebutu. Against all odds, you stood firm and showed courage in embracing the rule of law as a true democrat” .

Chief Aderinokun added that “Hon. Adebutu has always been a shining light for the PDP in Ogun State.

” Five years ago, I remember how you unite the party in the State when majority of the candidates did not find their names on the ballot for the 2019 elections. You are more than a leader, you are an inspiration to many in Ogun state and beyond”.

He also added that “The outcome of Friday’s ruling might have been not what was hoped for, but I joined PDP loyalists and the Ogun State people at large to thank you for making yourself available for service to the people and your leadership” .

Chief Aderinokun concluded that he’s optimistic that opportunities to lead the state will come very soon again but of utmost concern to him and other PDP’s chieftain is that the state should be at peace and noticeable development should be obvious all around the state.
