AGROWEEN Launch: LASG, Teju Phillips, Gbenga Adeyinka Pull Weight!

Former Commissioner in Lagos State and  LASACO Assurance Chairman, Mrs Teju Phillips has thrown her weight behind an American based concern’s Agricultural intervention in Nigeria tagged AGROWEEN.

The LASACO boss was very visible at a hugely successful Intergenerational Rescue AGROWEEN project launch and award presentation ceremony, which took place at the Lagos Secretariat Alausa, recently, with popular comedian, Gbenga Adeyinka as the anchor person.AGROWEEN Launch: LASG, Teju Phillips, Gbenga Adeyinka Pull Weight!

The event had key speakers and representatives from The University of Lagos among them,  Mrs Faremi Alice Representing the Human Resources Center of the University of Lagos. 

The launch also enjoyed the support of the Lagos Ministry of Agriculture.

AGROWEEN is aimed to promote the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (UN SDG), end hunger, achieve food security, improved nutrition and promote sustainable Agricultural practices. 

It’s Nigeria official launch was also in preparation for the Agroween Agric Festival, a big event to be held in year 2024.  

The festival will be an all fun and grand bazaar; where eligible institutions will exhibit their farm products and other agricultural produce and equipment. 

Basic schools, Secondary schools and higher institutions with Agricultural background and practices are eligible. 

The programme is to encourage the youths to develop a keen interest in Agriculture as a way of enhancing food production and boosting the economy. 

The humanitarian and community-structured programmes aim to proffer natural and lasting solutions for the Old, Young and Next generation.
