Leaders in the South-South region of Nigeria have called on the head of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele to renounce hatred and content himself with promoting sense of dignity and virtue in Nigerians.
“It has to be admitted that Primate Elijah Ayodele can be naïve, contradictory and confused. He is full of prejudice in his speculations’’. the leaders said.
The South-South leaders however applauded Nigeria’s Senate President, Chief Godswill Akpabio, for his strong conscience and steadfast reason.
‘’Senator Godswill Akpabio is a man of great sincerity’’.

In a statement issued in Benin City, the notable South-South leaders praised Akpabio for contributing to the development of the Niger Delta.
‘’The magnitude of his achievement in the Niger Delta cannot be denied by even his most unsympathetic critic. As governor, Akpabio’s performance was exceptional. As minister, he developed the Niger Delta and left the people happy’’.
The statement signed by the Chairman of South-South Front (SSF), Chief John Harry, urged the leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele to renounce hatred and content himself with promoting sense of dignity and virtue in Nigerians.

They praised the senators for uniting after the war of manoeuvre and position.
‘’Stop it Primate Ayodele. Don’t make a fool of yourself. Everybody knows that politics is not your field. Akpabio’s actions are all inspired by a consistent attitude and the Senate will continue to mould the executive and the judiciary’’.
The leaders condemned Ayodele for his lack of understanding of Nigerian politics, the character of the Nigerian State and the role of the political actor in the development process.

‘’ The statement on South-East has proved wide off the mark. It was nonsense to say that Akpabio’s emergence would not make any difference in the Senate and will not in any way help the democracy of Nigeria as expected. It was even greater nonsense to call a South-South emergence as Senate President a slap to the Igbos’’.
The statement emphasised the marks of a good government, the language of determination and conscious direction.
Particularly, the leaders criticised Ayodele for scribbling together and dishing up nonsense.
They described his senate leadership comments as unsatisfactory and dangerous.
