Tinubu: Wazobia Fafowora Drops Song Seeking Surpport For New President

Pa Akinlolu Fafowora  popularly known as Wazobia, shot into the limelight in 1960 after the release of the chart bursting work of Roy Chicago, titled WA-ZO- BIA.

Though highlife exponent Chicago recorded the song, but it was composed by Akinlolu Fafowora, a diplomat, writer and singer and composer.

He coined those three words together to create that acronym WA ZO BIA even before independence and since then, his identify changed.

Now in his mid 80s, Pa Wazobia is back in  the news. This time not as a diplomat, but a composer and singer.

Fresh from the studio, Wazobia has just concluded work on a single dedicated to the presidency of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu

He  just finished work on a Single where he thanked all and sundry for voting in President Bola Tinubu as the administrator of Nigeria for the next four years, even as he appealed to Nigerian not to abandon the President to his fate.

According to the highlife player, in the Single, “Nigeria is seriously sick, but a capable hand has just  been engaged in Tinubu to rebuild the country.

” He is more than capable to deliver, but he can’t do it alone, he still needs you the people who gave him the mandate to run the country with him. So, don’t hesitate to share ideas and suggestions  you know can assist his presidency with him” he sang. 

Very rich in  experience expecialy  as it affects governance,   Wazobia who retired from the Foreign Service and  just relocated to Ilesa Osun state to rest having lived many parts of his life abroad and Lagos has also offered himself for the service of Tinubu by way of offering suggestions that would make the government succed.

Wazobia who just opened a state of the art studio in his home town where he is currently living said: The Tinubu project is our project, am ready and offering myself for service because I have what to offer. Rescuing Nigeria  is  a task that must be done and by all.
