One of the earliest showbiz personalities who evidently changed the entertainment industry with his unique concepts in early 2000, Dejo Richards is back on the scene, this time in a different way.
Many would wonder why Dejo Richards has been silent for a while now but our research during a visit to him revealed that he was actually observing a break which has changed his title from Mr. that he used to be to pastor Dejo Richards.
“It’s been wonderful and rewarding working in the vineyard of the Lord, this has really changed a whole lot about me. I’m now a pastor at Dominion City, Ajah” He said.
When asked if he has abandoned his first love which is entertainment at the expense of the new calling, Dejo said there’s no way he could drop entertainment but he has to redefine it.
“Just as the Bible says in 2Cor. 5 Verses 14 to 21 ‘Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new’, I’m back and this time in a different way. I have done a lot of secular stuffs in the industry but I want to utilize the God’s given talents to glorify God. Entertainment is inborn no doubt but this time it’s more of promoting gospel songs.
“Also I started a TV programme not long ago, Lifestyle With Dejo Richards. It’s a Premium and unparalleled magazine TV show, with its focus on people, products, places and services. The TV show which features over 20 segments to include; events and paparazzi, fashion feature, celeb profile, special tapis rouge, e-speciale, buzz worthy, sports file, sneak peek, to mention but a few has since been running on RaveTV and preparation is in top gear to spread to five more TV stations to include LTV, MITV and Laugh TV (Star times) before the end of April. It will also commence airing on 6 other stations to include Arise Tv, Africa Magic (Dstv), Plus Tv, Ogun Television, NTA Asaba and Superscreen TV soon.” Dejo explained.
