Nigerians especially residents of Ogun State and the people of Abeokuta South Local Government Area have been urged not to reinstate or repeat failure, by voting the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, in the 2023 elections as the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP is set to meet their needs when a new government is formed by the party in Nigeria and Ogun State.

The House of Representatives candidate of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Toyin Amuzu, TA who is vying to represent Abeokuta South Federal Constituency at the lower Chambers of the National Assembly stated this while giving support to two communities in Abeokuta.

Chief Toyin Amuzu who donated the sum of one million naira to energise a transformer serving Ago-Egun, Oduntan, Nepa road and Isabo communities, also doled out a quarter of a million to support the building project of Erunwon, Olokuta Community in Idi-Aba.

Chief Amuzu cautioned Nigerians against repeating thesame mistake of voting APC to retain power in the 2023 elections lamenting that the ruling party lacks the willpower to create solutions to the numerous challenges bedeviling Nigeria considering their campaign promises.

He said, the time for genuine change has come as the PDP with its years of experience in governance is ready to reset the Nation’s economy, work on insecurity, develop infrastructure, improve the general well-being of the people and restore the various public systems which are now being destroyed.

According to Amuzu, “it is quite clear that this government do not understand that their basic function is to serve the people. This donation to energise a transformer and other various supports like this gesture to build a community hall and the need to provide water borehole projects to our people from me and other candidates of the PDP is to show our resolve to serve and work for the good of our society”.

“Some of us are not in government and neither are we holding any political position yet we have taken it upon ourselves to ensure the well-being of the people. I was at the Isabo area and was amazed that the people celebrated the Christmas in darkness, this we cannot stand as a Party. We will ensure we repair your roads and meet other needs when PDP gets to power, he said”.

In Amuzu’s words, no responsible Government would neglect such a vital road in Olokuta where government had taken their lands for railway and would not compensate them with basic amenities which are their entitlements.

“As for us in PDP we are committed to the good of the people and we will continue to support the people and the communities to grow”.

Hon Idowu Olowofuja who is the PDP House of Assembly candidate for Abeokuta South State Constituency 2, who corraborated TA, said he was able to do 8 borehole water projects in each ward under his Constituency just like Chief Amuzu is doing and he is ready to do more, when elected.

He urged Nigerians to vote the PDP from top to bottom, stating that the PDP is known for its people oriented programmes which would create solutions to better the lots of the people.
