2023: Atiku Finally Dumps Wike

There are indications that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar may have decided to drop estranged River State Governor, Nyesom Wike from the party’s campaign plans.

Sources close to the party informed that following unsuccessful measures to placate the governor who became embittered after he lost the Vice Presidential ticket to his Delta state counterpart, Okowa, the party may have decided to move on with its campaign plans without him.

According to a party source, the leaders of the party ” are tired of Wike’s unnecessary arrogance” hence the decision to continue with the party’s campaign without him.

ThePageNews gathered that it was the Wike debacle that has been preventing the PDP from picking its Presidential campaign team.” Wike has a natural role in the Campaign team of Atiku, but as things are now, he may not be ready to play any role in the campaign of the Former Vice President even if he remains in the party.”

And at this juncture, nobody is ready to persuade him any longer as he may just be justifying the reason he couldn’t get the VP ticket in the first instance”A source said Atiku has been advised to go ahead with his campaign plans adding that everybody in the party leadership love Wike as a good and valuable party man, adding that the party has to move on all the same, after all PDP was winning elections before Wike and will continue to do so after him”our source further hinted.
