The lid has blown off the plan of the All Progressive Congress party ( APC) in Ondo state and it’s gubernatorial candidate in the November 16 election, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, to short change the citizens, as the ruling party begin distribution of Federal government’s hitherto hoarded grains palliative, to party members as the countdown to the election begins.
The main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) had before now, accused Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of hoarding the 20 trucks of rice palliatives sent to the state by the federal government, as part of efforts to cushion the effects of rising cost of living.
According to the PDP, Aiyedatiwa failed to distribute the palliatives to the residents of the state after weeks of getting its own share, as he was accused of planning to repackage and rebrand the grains by sharing to members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.
“We have it on good authority that the Governor is trying to repackage and rebrand the said palliatives and share to members and supporters of APC with a view to using same to promote his gubernatorial ambition as the November 16, 2024 gubernatorial election approaches”.the opposition party had alerted.
Though Aiyedatiwa debunked the allegation then, lid has however, been finally blown over the about three months concealed plans , as APC members are already being assigned the food stuff, as incentive, ahead of the November 16 election.
Distribution of the grains, which is secretly being done, commenced at the weekend across the state.
The consignment for Ugbe Akoko
