In the build up to the approaching Ondo Governorship Election slated for November 16, 2024, the Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo Local Government PDP Campaign Council has paid a royal visit to the Ile-Oluji West Traditional Council under the presidency of His Royal Majesty, Oba David Iluyomade Adebawore, the Olusama of Usama land.
The visit aimed to introduce the party and its gubernatorial candidates to the traditional rulers and unveil their masses-friendly agenda.
While addressing the Royal fathers, Hon. Ch. Henry Akinsuroju, a former Ondo State House of Assembly member praised the traditional rulers for their warm reception and highlighted the PDP’s past achievements.
Akinsuroju emphasized on the party’s commitment to making life better for the masses, stating, “PDP and its Candidates are committed to making life bearable for the masses, nearness to the people is nearness to development.” He praised the party’s flag bearers, particularly H.E Agboola Alfred Ajayi, as a grassroot politician with necessary competencies and experiences.
While responding, the President of the Ile-Oluji West Traditional Council, His Royal Majesty, Oba David Iluyomade Adebawore, the Olusama of Usama land expressed concerns about politicians’ broken promises but acknowledged the PDP’s past efforts. He urged the party to fulfill its campaign promises.
His Royal Highness, Oloja Omodusonu, the Oloja of Madehin-Odo, who doubles as the Vice President of the Ile-Oluji West Traditional Council echoed this sentiment and wished the party a resounding victory.
The royal fathers present among others is HRM, Oba Isaac Iluyomade Abiola, the Akemo of Bamikemo land, HRM Oba Benson Adeware, the Orimayegun of Eyingun land, HRH Akinmolusun of Olorunsogo, HRH Adeyoyenu of Uloen, HRH Adewoye Akinloye of OLA, HRH Isaac Akinsanmi Akinmoyeje of Lipanu, HRH Akinbosade Agboade of Madehin-Oke, HRH Adewale Adesile of Ayede land.
Members of the campaign council who were also present are; the party Local Government Chairman, Hon. Elvis Akinfiresoye, the Campaign Council Chairman, Hon. Pastor Taiwo Okunade, Hon. Leke Akinbinu, Deacon Akin Oyewole who is the secretary to the campaign council and the campaign media personnel, Otunba Oluwapelumi Akinsiku.
