Distinguished Senator Monday Okpebholo, Edo Central Senatorial District’s lawmaker and Chairman of Senate Committee on Procurement is the Governor-elect of Edo State.
A statement issued by an aide to the governor elect in Abuja,Sebastine EBHUOMHAN, says the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, scored 291,667 valid votes in a peaceful, free, fair, credible, and keenly contested 2024 governorship election of 21st September, 2024, to defeat the PDP and the LP candidates in that order.
The statement mentioned that Okpebholo would be sworn into office for a four-year term at a date to be announced soon.
