Agbo, Fessywest’s Visit  Set Idanre Agog, Get Heroic Reception

The pair of the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) Gubernatorial flagbearers in the  Ondo State Nov. 16 election ,Agboola Ajayi, and his running mate, Hon. Festus Akingbaso, were received with overwhelming excitement on Monday by an ecstatic crowd in Idanre town in Idanre Local Government Area of the state.

The visit which included the inauguration of the local government’s PDP campaign committee, saw the people of Idanre known for their  political engagement—showing their unflinching support for the PDP gubernatorial pair.

 Hon. Festus Akingbaso, is an indigene of Idanre.

Adding to the significance of the occasion, Agboola Ajayi was joined by top PDP leaders, including the Party’s State Chairman, Hon. Bakita Bello, and the Chairman of the Governorship Campaign, Dr. Eddy Olafeso, among other prominent leaders. Their presence underscored the party’s collective commitment to driving a successful campaign across Ondo State.

One particularly memorable moment came when Hon. Akingbaso made to address the massive gathering.  Overjoyed to have one of their own on the ticket, the crowd erupted in cheers, making it difficult for him to even speak. 

This overwhelming display of affection and love, reflects the depth of support from the people of Idanre, in demonstration  of their preparedness to ensure the victory of the PDP.

During the visit, Agboola Ajayi, PDP as a party and the campaign council led by Olorogun Eddy Olafeso also paid condolences visit to the regent and his chiefs in the town over the demise of the traditional ruler of the town who passed away recently. 

The PDP candidate who describes the late king Oba Rufus Aroloye, the Arubiefin the 4th as a fighter and protector of his kingdom till his death, “Kabiyesi lived a fulfilled life, he was a protector, a fighter and a lover of his people, he protected his people till he breathed his last breath, he was a worthy king that will be solely missed by all “Agboola Ajayi said”.

Prayers were offered for the repose of the soul of the departed king while the leadership of the traditional institution in Idanre appreciates PDP as a party and it’s candidate for identifying with Idanre community at this dark period.

In response to the warm reception, Agboola Ajayi expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the people of Idanre and reaffirmed his commitment to delivering development that would impact on the people  of Ondo State. 

He promised that his administration would focus on inclusive governance, ensuring that every community benefits from progress and prosperity.
