Ondo Poll: Agbo Gains  More Ground As APC Women Group, LP Chairman, Members Join PDP

As the pendulum of the approaching gubernatorial election victory in Ondo state, continue to predictably, swing towards the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and it’s  candidate, H E, Agboola Ajayi, a Labour  Party Chairman and Chair -lady of the popular All Progressive Congress( APC) women group, Asheweri Women club,  have led hundreds of their members to the opposition party.

Decrying  the failure of the ruling party, where they have become very popular because of their influence and capacity to mobilize successfully for elections, Akure based Women group, The Asheweri Women Club, declared support for the PDP candidate at a decamping ceremony which took place in Akure at the weekend.

The Asheweri women club , all former  members of the  APC formally decamped to the  PDP, as  they were all received into the  party by its  gubernatorial candidate, Ajayi, at his country home  in ijapo Estate , Akure .

The politically active women group, comprise  of natives of the   Ebira tribe in Kogi State who are resident  in Ondo state and politically active.

They promised to work assiduously for the emergence of H E Agboola Ajayi as the next governor of Ondo State in the coming Gubernatorial election .

In the same vein, Samuel Ukoah,the Labour party  Chairman in Ondo West  led  over 500 members of the LP in the LG to  the PDP..

Speaking on behalf of the decampees  Labour Party members, Ukiah said : we did our research very well before taking this step. We asked questions, appraised the political will, stamina, contacts, administrative intelligence, capacity and popularity of the two prominent candidates in the coming election, and the results of the findings is why we are declaring for the PDP today. 
” It is our sincere conviction that if we have a free and fair election today, Agbo will carry the day. Besides the peace and unity in the PDP, the party has a candidate who is known to all as a sincere and reputable politician who does not trivialize promises. He is always true to his words, that’s why we believe he will be able to rescue Ondo state as he had promised”

Reacting to the decampees, Ajayi thanked them for believing in him and his ability to deliver.
He promised that, with an equally competent administrator like his running mate, Fessywest, the state will recover from it’s famished state, in no time.

He enjoined the decampees to “join hands with the members of the party you met on ground to build on its existing unity,  so that together we can work out way into the Alagbaka government house”
