The Spokesperson for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Gubernatorial Candidate, Agboola Alfred Ajayi, Sam Ogunmusi, has denied reports of a unilateral appointment of a head of new media for the PDP Campaign Council.
In a statement released today, Ogunmusi said the attention of the candidate had been drawn to a publication circulating online, claiming that Ajayi had appointed a head of new media for the campaign council.
Ogunmusi described the report as “misleading” and “untrue”, stating that no such appointment had been made by the candidate. “We want to categorically state that no appointment has been made by His Excellency for the head of new media for the PDP Campaign Council, nor did he give anybody permission for such appointment,” he said.
According to Ogunmusi, the party and the campaign council are still in the process of consulting with critical stakeholders and filling vacancies in the campaign council. “We understand the importance of effective communication in our campaign, and we’re committed to building a strong team that will help us deliver victory in the November 16th election,” he said.
Ogunmusi urged supporters and the general public to disregard the misleading report and assured that the campaign council would make official announcements when appointments are made.
The PDP gubernatorial candidate, Agboola Alfred Ajayi, is contesting the November 16th election against other candidates in Ondo State and his resounding victory is sure.
