Agbo Ajayi: Ondo Won’t Remain Civil Service State Under My Watch

Leading People’s Democratic Party’s aspirant towards the November 2024 gubernatorial election in Ondo state, H. E, Agboola Alfred Ajayi A.K.A  A3,  has declared his intention to ensure the state shed’s it’s tag of a Civil Service State for a more befitting status.

Speaking in the state Capital, Akure, ahead of his party’s primary election due for this week Thursday , Ajayi said the last time the state experienced  real governance and enjoyed dividend of democracy irrespective of party affiliation, was during a PDP government.

He said,given the opportunity to lead the state from November, he will do everything humanly possible to surpass the achievement of the last PDP government, credited by many, with unmatched achievements in the history of the state so far.

“It’s my intention to do things differently as the governor of our dear state. I have the template of how to move our state away from the era of lip service being witnessed since the past years the APC took over power. I promise to offer real and visible governance.

” Ondo state is widely refered to as a Civil Service State. That is no longer acceptable to us. With the template I intend to work with, the identity of our dear state will change from a Civil service state to an industrial and entrepreneurship state”

Ajayi said further that with a focused government that he intends to lead, Agriculture will assume a frontline status, adding that all the social services enjoyed in the state,prior to the APC take over, which it could not sustain, despite  fat federal allocation, would be reintroduced.

” We were witnesses to that  era in our state, when, despite a lean purse, students were transported to and from school free of charge, pregnant women  delivered free of charge in our hospital and public school assumed it’s original superior position over private schools. 

” I can assure you that with an A3 led PDP  government, better life will be made available again for our state to thrive more and earn it’s enviable position in the committee of states”. he said.
