Eid-el-Fitri: Akinterinwa Rejoices With Muslims

The leading aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming governorship election in Ondo state, Wale Akinterinwa, has congratulated the Muslim community on the successful completion of Ramadan and the celebration of Eid-el-Fitri.

 Akinterinwa urged the faithful to imbibe the lessons and spirits of the fasting month and let the lessons of the holy month guide their conduct in society henceforth.

 In a statement by Segun Ajiboye, spokesperson of the Akinterinwa Campaign Organisation, the frontline governorship aspirant specifically congratulated all Muslim faithful in Ondo state and prayed to Allah to grant the them more rewarding years and sound health.

He went further to call on Muslims across Ondo state to use the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr to pray for the state.

“Ondo state is our dear state. I urge all Muslims brothers and sisters to at this time come together and pray assiduously for continuous peaceful coexistence among our people,” Akinterinwa said.

While noting that Ramadan has taught all faithful how to live a selfless and Godly life, Akinterinwa urged all citizens of the state to love one another and live in harmonny, maintaining that it is only under such condition that the state will progress and become prosperous for everyone.

He said: “I wish to enjoin all Muslim Faithful to be moderate during the celebration of Eid-el-Fitr and continue to extend love to one another, especially the less-privileged in our society.

“We should also sustain virtues of self-discipline, sacrifice and compassion, irrespective of religion, tribe or race.”

“I wish to enjoin all Muslim faithful to pray for absolute peace in our state and for Almighty Allah to continue to guide and lead our leaders aright.”
