I have been inundated with series of enquires on the impeachment of Femi Omilani, the former Chairman of the Ogun State Chapter of our Association along with Muriziq Oluwatosin (Secretary), Rasheed Ojelabi (Treasurer) and Olumayowa Abajigin (Publicity Secretary).
I wish to affirm that the National Leadership of The Association is aware that The Congress of the Ogun State Chapter held on the 20th of June, 2023 and after reviewing the activities of the then Femi Omilani led Executive, established Administrative infractions, Constitutional breaches and financially misappropriation.
From the report at my disposal, The Congress equally established a calculated and deliberate attempt by Femi Omilani and his cohorts to destabilize The Association for the purpose of promoting their newly formed rival Association.
All these infractions were responsible for the VOTE OF NO CONFIDENCE passed on them and their subsequent IMPEACHMENT by the Congress which is the highest decision making organ of Our Association.
I am aware that some individuals have been calling for meetings between the current Leadership and the impeached ex-members of The Association with the intention of possibly lifting that verdict.
Let it be on record that after the ratification of their IMPEACHMENT by the National Working Committee of the Association, there cannot be a reversal. Therefore, the impeachment of Femi Omilani and his cohorts stands.
As the Association conclude plans to prosecute Femi Omilani, The Leadership of FIBAN in Ogun State and indeed all members are barred from holding any meeting with them on this matter.
I do hope that members of The Public will be properly guided by the contents of this statement.
